The Gulfstream G800 is the newest flagship ultra-long-range business jet from Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in the United States. It offers longer range, faster speed, and a more comfortable flying experience. Read More: Private Jets Market
Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the G800 can fly up to 8,200 nautical miles (about 15,186 km) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.935. This means nonstop flights like Hong Kong to Los Angeles or Singapore to San Francisco are well within its range. In short, the G800 can easily connect major cities across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Inside, the G800 features 16 large oval windows and can be configured with up to four living areas, carrying as many as 19 passengers. The cabin layout is highly flexible. The price of a new G800 starts at around $72.5 million USD, but the actual cost can be higher depending on custom interiors and upgraded equipment.
Gulfstream Aerospace is a subsidiary of General Dynamics (the same company that originally designed and built the famous F-16 fighter jet). Gulfstream is known for producing high-performance private jets with long-range capability, comfortable cabins, and advanced technology.
The company’s history goes back to the 1950s with Grumman Aircraft Engineering Company, a manufacturer well known for military aircraft. In 1958, it launched its first business turboprop, the Gulfstream I (G-I). As demand grew, Gulfstream developed jet models like the G-II and gradually separated its military and civilian operations.
Through the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Gulfstream changed ownership several times, including acquisitions by Chrysler and Allen Paulson, before becoming part of General Dynamics.
Today, Gulfstream is one of the most recognized names in business aviation. Its jets are favored not only by executives and billionaires but also by governments worldwide for VIP transport, medical evacuation, and special missions.
